Greetings and a hearty welcome to our website. Our members are the
descendants of the early Salzburger and German settlers
of Ebenezer, the second town of colonial Georgia. A number of
friends who support our purposes have also joined the GSS. We exist to
perpetuate the memory of the Salzburger exiles
who came to Georgia in 1734, 1736 and 1741 seeking religious freedom.
Celebration and remembrance of these early pioneers
are manifest through educational programs, the publishing of historical
records and genealogical projects. If
you have interest or if we may be of service, please feel free to contact us.
